With Performance-Based Training (PBT) we continuously seek to improve the feedback quality and objectiveness of instructors. The challenge at hand is how to get insight into trainees’ cognitive process. The INSPECT project explored the use of objective and physiological data to assess the performance of (military) air traffic control trainees. The goal is to develop a technology demonstrator, to give instructors insight in particular competencies such as Situational Assessment, Workload Management and Problem Solving & Decision Making.
