Integration of MALE RPAS into European airspace

Royal NLR, General Atomics Aeronautical and Information Systems Delft are working together on the procedures needed to integrate MALE RPAS into European Airspace. The Step 2 project focused on the procedures needed to Remain Well Clear (RWC) in en-route and TMA settings, and for both controlled and uncontrolled airspace classes. The NLR NARSIM and MUST simulators, as well as a RTCA DO-365B compliant RWC display, were used in this study. The real-time simulation involved professional air traffic controllers, airline pilots and RPAS pilots.
