Background
Europe is ambitiously moving towards a fully Circular Economy (CE). This will affect all industries, including aerospace. The Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) is developing strategies to implement CE principles and identify research trends and gaps for the aerospace industry.
Building a Circular Economy data toolbox
NLR has already acquired valuable insight into the Circular Economy through various research projects and collaborations with OEMs and research institutes on circularity. The next step is to broaden our understanding of the Dutch market and identify the multidisciplinary needs for a sustainability approach (e.g. geopolitical risks, risks in the supply chain, competition with different industries, limited large scale pilot projects, lack of product certification and labelling, recycling challenges, complexity of the logistics system).
This survey aims to identify the circular economy risks, concerns, current status, priorities and contributions of Dutch stakeholders in the Aerospace industry. Your participation will help us acquire a better understanding of the needs and challenges facing the industry.
Research purposes
NLR participates in the development of Holland High Tech’s Strategic Programme (SP) on Circularity and Raw Materials. Your input will help us understand what is important for our industry (aerospace & space, both civil and military).
Confidentiality and results
Please, be assured that NLR will use the collected data solely for research purposes, respecting your anonymity. We will prepare a summary with the results of the statistical survey. We expect to be able to share this with you by the end of this year. Please, indicate if you would be interested in receiving this summary.
